Information + Intercession = Divine Intervention

I. Prayer for Our Nation and Its Leaders:


  • "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance." (Psalm 33:12)
  • "Righteousness exalts a nation" but sin is a reproach to any people." (Prov. 14:34)
  • "If my people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"(II Chron. 7: 14)
  • "I exhort that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority: that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (I Tim. 2: 1-3)


    Pray For:

    1. Ask God to give our President great wisdom for his leadership and that he will have the ability to sort right from wrong.
    2. Pray for our Vice President.
    3. Our U. S. Senators and Representatives. Ask God to give them discernment to make right decisions.
    4. The Cabinet
    5. The Supreme Court. For guidance in the decisions they make.

II. Prayer for our State and Local Needs:


  • "Thus saith the Lord of hosts, turn unto Me and I will turn unto you." (Zech. 1:3)
  • "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers." (I Peter 3:12)


    Pray For:

    1. Pray that Governor Heinemann will lead our state well.
    2. Pray for our State Senators that God will grant them guidance in their decisions.
    3. Pray for our County and City Leaders.
    4. Pray for our Schools. Pray for teachers to set high standards. Pray for the subject matter that is taught Pray for students to respect authority

III. Prayer for the Needs and Concerns of Our Nation


  • "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not" (Jer. 33:3)
  • "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask
    anything according to His will, He heareth us; and if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask we know that we have the petitions that we desire of him. " (I John 5: 14,15)


    Pray For:

    1. Our Homes/Families to uphold God's design for marriage.
    2. Our Churches to be life giving influencers in our communities.
    3. The Media to present fair and balanced reporting.
    4. Our Youth to be a generation that serves God with passion.
    5. Our Schools to educate with excellence.
    6. Abortion to be eliminated in our society
    7. God's laws regarding sexual purity to be practiced.
    8. Crime to decrease as citizens respect authority.
    9. False ideologies such as humanism to be non-effective.
    10. Addictions to be broken.
