Prayer and Fasting

Praying for God to visit America is vital. The moral and spiritual decay of this nation needs the transformation that only a work of the Holy Spirit can provide. United prayer emerging from the Body of Christ has the power to shape the destiny of our nation. To become transform agents we must first become transformed by the power of God's glory in our individual lives.

The great need of our nation is a spiritual awakening that penetrates the entire society.

The key to this awakening is prayer. It is only as God's people seek Him and pray that this awakening will become a reality.

Specific Requests

1. Pray that God will create a spirit of humility and brokenness among believers.
   
   
2. James 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble." God will not revive those who are self-sufficient and proud. The believers must come to see their spiritual bankruptcy and utter dependence on God.
   
   
3. Pray that God would grant believers a deeper understanding and awareness of His holiness.
   
   
4. I Peter 1:14-16 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY." We need to understand the holiness of God because it is essential to revival. He does not and cannot sin. He is pure and without stain or sin. He always does what is right and good.
   
   
5. Ask God to reveal any obstacles that could hinder our church from experiencing genuine revival. Then pray for its removal, Isaiah 62:10
   
   
6. Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. Pray that God will reveal anything that is not pleasing to Him in our church. Call on Him to deal with these obstacles. Plead with Him to remove anything that is hindering the church to experience a genuine working of the Holy Spirit in revival.
