Judiciary Prayer Points

#

Thank you for faithfully lifting up the judiciary in prayer. The Word of God declares, "The effectual, fervent prayers of a righteous man avail much." Precise, targeted prayer full of grace, power and blessing hits the mark. Prayer is effective and causes change. It is encouraging to know that we have a God of Justice and He will ultimately prevail; but now is a critical time to persevere in prayer for our courts to return to the godly system upon which they were founded. Here are some specific prayer focuses for the judiciary followed by a prayer which was written in hopes that thousands of Christians will join their hearts in agreement prayer for America's judicial system. "He appointed judges in the land. . .He told them, Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for man but for the Lord, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery" 2 Chronicles 20:6-7
  • Revive us Lord! Challenge us to obedience and faith to rise up in intercession.
"I have set watchman on your walls, they will not be silent day or night". Isaiah 62:6
  • Grant us God-fearing, anointed judges who can lead with the full counsel of God. We pray that they render righteous judgments. Note that 940 federal judgeships, including nine Supreme Court Justices, are position appointed by the President (Isaiah 1:26).
"You shall select able men such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers". Exodus 18:21
  • We declare you Lord in the judicial, legislative and executive branches of government.
"For the Lord is our Judge, our Lawgiver, and our King. He will save us". Is. 33:22
  • Tear down false ideology of humanism, intellectualism and pride.
"We walk in the flesh but we do not war in the flesh; casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God". 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
  • Repent for the sins of our generation for establishing laws that violated the laws of God. Humbly place yourself among the transgressors.
"We have sinned and done wrong; we have turned away from your laws and commands". Daniel 9:5 We come in agreement prayer with Christians around the nation. We acknowledge that as a nation we have rendered legislation and laws that do not reflect your ways. Forgive us Lord that we have not valued the sanctity of life and marriage. We cry out for our nation. Lord, we deserve judgment but we are asking for mercy. We bring our US Supreme Court before you. Knowing that they are appointed of man, I pray that You would influence the selection of each new replacement. May they be people who will judge rightly in every matter brought before them. As our Supreme Court makes its decisions, we pray that its decrees would be Your decrees. We desire that, by Your hand, Godly justices would rise up and render decisions that are in line with Your will. We pray that they would set a standard of justice and balance of mercy for the judicial office at large, not only on a national level but for every adjudicator in our nation. We pray for Nebraska's Supreme Court. We ask specifically for judges to render decisions that reflect the heart of God and bring honor to our state. We give You thanks, knowing it is Your good pleasure and will to work in every level of government. We pray Proverbs 8: 12-15 over the judicial, executive and legislative branches of government: "I, wisdom, dwell with prudence. And find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength. By me kings reign, and rulers decrees justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth". May your will be done! We ask in Jesus name, Amen.
